Tick Fork’s history began back in the late 1800’s. Natural tick dipping was performed for local farmers. The farmers would bring their livestock to the tick dipping hole. The hole was filled with water & medicine to remove the ticks. Livestock would go down the embankment and through the tick bath. When the livestock came out the other side, they would be tick free. The tick dipping was performed at a fork in the country roads of Alabama. The Tick Fork name has been with us ever since.
Tick Fork Preserve is hosted by Jason White & Heath Love. White Farms is a partnership with Ed & Bonnie White. Tick Fork Farm is an operational cattle & row crop farm. Recently Tick Fork Preserve LLC was formed to allow private hunting, fishing & lodging. Our guests can enjoy over 1,200 acres of private beautiful woodlands, lakes & countryside.
